Food Trip Friday #4- "Sliced of Pizza and Full meal of Pasta"

This post is overdue, It should be posted three weeks ago on my weekly post for "foodtrip friday". Atleast I have time to post again, after Holyweek vacation and back to overloaded work. These what I hate about long vacation you don't know which you gonna start. Anyway my friend in high school we'd a chance to met-up again after a year. I've a few close friends only that I treasured and thrusted and Carla is one of them. She was very talented,intelligent woman, and a laugh loud crowd hahaha Lol. The reason why we met-up is to celebrate her birthday and have a reunion the same time with Joan. We ate at Piadina an italian restaurant in Rob Manila. I love there food and price was reasonable. I want to feature on my 4'th entry for" foodtrip friday meme".

After that, we headed to videoke at music 88 in blue wave macapagal and sang together our high school barkada song. It was memorable for three of us and It was a hard time find true friends nowadays so make treasured them.

My Treasure but Priceless...

Tradition in my family, when one of the members who celebrated his/her birthday, We usually dined out, experiment different cuisine and explored great places even outdoors or indoors. Just last Monday my sister celebrant her birthday and we decided to try the newest tourist hub in the country.Located across Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and adjacent to the Villamor Golf Course. Resort World Manila is Adapting the integrated resort concept behind the success of Resorts World Genting in Malaysia and Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore, RWM breaks new ground in the Philippines by combining lodging brands, restaurants, gaming facilities, entertainment spots and a luxury mall in one grand destination plus they have three hotels: the five-star Marriot Hotel Manila, the soon-to-rise budget lodging Remington. I was amazed for interior and something looking forward for extravagant activites that they offered. 

We chose The Red Crab since all of us was seafood lover. I apolized for not having food photos, I never had a chance to took picture because all of us was starving and It was a late dinner already because my father arrived late from work. Instead We've a family picture during our dinner and at lodging ground.

We ordered for a soup: Crab Bisque with Crabmeat Cake, main dish: Indonesian Style Oxtail Kare-Kare,Shrimp Tofu in Sambal Kangkong,Seafood Tortang Talong with Aligue Cream Sauce,King Seafood Platter and Fried pork I don't know the exact name because I'm not the one who ordered that dish. Lol It was a scrumptious meal except for seafood platter. My father and I not enjoying there seafood dish coz mussel aren't fresh and overcook inside the shell but there Indonesian Style Oxtail Kare-Kare for me is the well-taste.

I thought I was going to buy one whole cake inside the placed for my sister so I didn't bother to went in a cake shop but unfortunately when I'll check starbucks inside the hotel they have no available cake for one whole, so I decided to order a sliced at the red crab and told to waiter to have a surprise greeting for my sister. I will give them a signal to served the cake then all of us was surprised for them on how they sang happy birthday song with improvise kitchen tools like stainless pitchel and fork to make sound hahaha Lol.

My nephew, Charles,  gave her tita two cards. The other one is given to her the moment she wake up. He drew balloons and added more colors on it. but my SIL( sister-inlaw) decided to bought a simple card to wrote his son by himself. How sweet isn't? :)

Food Trip Friday #3- "Banana and Mango shake"

I need to make a quick and short post before patient and client came. The weather is getting heater and heater now, I need some refreshing drink to feel cool and divert my mood in a vacation mode so I'll make this one for me and I want to shared for all FTF ( foodtrip friday). I usually combined two different fruits to blend two unconventional combination like banana is sweet and mango was little sweet and sour having a tasteful last.

Food Trip Friday #2- "Salad and Shrimp & Ribs by Cajun"

Nowadays, there a lot of therapy to be choose to relieved you're stress, condition you're body & mind and used  these also as a bonding time with you're family, loveone and friends. Such like spa & massage therapy, yoya therapy, air therapy,water therapy and food therapy. Ask for me i have my own term of being stress free. It was more gaily to do it called "Shopping therapy"Lol. These what we did yesterday, Me, my sister and mom we went shopped together at forever 21. It was a sponsor of my younger brother as a treat for us. Thanks bro!. I'm so giddy to have three pieces of clothers from forever 21 and I bought one pair of shoe from primadonna. I will make another post for my wardrobe. After that I treat them for lunch because my sister passed for all her subject and she's now a second year in her Doctoral degree. Thanks god! and I want to feature on my 2nd entry for foodtrip friday please allow me.

Celebration with my BFF...

Don't you just like hanging out with you're best friends and celebrated with her in a special day of her life like birthday? Like us since all of us are busy on our work,daily activities and responsibility with our each family. When we're together a non stop of catching up with our life, sharing happy and unhappy stories, and even we're out of clinic we still talking work related, laughing around until our jaw are stiff. This kinds of friend events that i'll coudn't missed out.

My BFF( bestfriend Forever) celebrated her birthday at seaside dampa in cavite (Aling Tonya's)with her family and co dentist. It was over flowing foods, we had soup, tempura, baked mussels, sushi and grill liempo but sadly poor serviced. I guess it's friday night and they having a packed of guest but it's take a long time to give you a necessary needs like spoon & fork, glass and drinks. I hope they improved there service.

Food Trip Friday #1- "Ginataang halo halo"

Today is April 1, 2011 here in the philippines and it's a date for fooling around called "april fool day" but aside of that when a month of april fall means almost end of  the school year, the climate start to heat and in a catholic believer start of lent season that why every friday you shouldn't eat pork.  I remember when I'm still studying and after school year end, my mom prepared merienda and she always cooked a filipino delicacy one of that is "ginataang halo halo". Now I live my own life, I cooked the same what my mom cooked and I want to feature for these friday food trip.

I want cinnabon again...

One morning, I was craving on cinnamon but unfortunately I was too busy on work and I have no time to dropped by at the mall to buy. Finally I was out awhile ago to do some business work errand and my palate still craved for cinnamon.  I was walking around the mall and I find Cinnabon, It wasn't too sweet and It was juicy that melt on my palate. Sadly I forgot to buy to take at home but I hope i'll can squeeze my time to try to bake cinnamon at home so that, once I crave It easy to satisfy my tastebuds. 

Unplanned quick weekend getaway

Last Sunday  me and my bestfriend mass together, after that we planned to go to the mall but we sudden change our planned instead of going to the mall we decided to drove at the tagaytay and to have a lunch there.  Around 11:00 in the morning after heard the mass we opted to straight a head.

We're hitting the road

Around 1:30 in the afternoon we're having our lunch at My favorites place because of delicous food and good ambience. I observed that Bag of beans getting bigger after an long visit there and they serving a brunch buffet at around 1:00 to 3:00 pm but we decided not to avail there buffet but I would like to try the next visit.

I ordered Chicken breast fillet with white sauce pasta, and My bestfriend also chose these but she wanted red sauce

For our dessert she ordered banana split and for me yummy blueberries cheesecake

Sorry I forgot to take picture of the place we're busy chatting and catching up to each other. I promised the next visit I will post a lot of pictures because the placed was so cozy and homy. It was a perfect for quick unwind.

My version of beef salpicao stir-fried garlic...

My mom having hard time thinking on what to prepared on our everyday meal. We had two vial per day lunch and dinner. Since I was working at home I'm carried this burden also, so we came a crossed of brainstorm on what food to be served on our table. So I searched over the net.

Ingredients:

1 Kilo of beef tenderloin, cut into one-inch cubes
6gloves. of finely minced garlic
1/2 tsp. of ground black pepper
3 tbsps. of olive oil
4 to 5 tbsps. of osyster sauce
4 to 5 tbsps. of liquid seasoning (I used Knorr — I do not recommend substituting soy sauce)
about 1/4 c. of flour
3 tbsps. of butter combined with about 6 tbsps. of olive oil
about 1-1/2 c. of sliced mushrooms

Procedure:

Place the beef cubes in a bowl. Add the minced garlic, pepper and 3 tbsps. of olive oil. Mix well. Cover and keep in the fridge for a couple of hours.

Heat the butter and olive oil in a wide shallow pan to wide enough to contain the beef cubes in a single layer. The heat should be very high.

Place the beef in a plastic freezer bag. Add the flour. Shake to coat each piece of meat with flour. It is the flour that will thicken the sauce later and make it stick well to the beef.

When the olive oil and butter are hot, add the floured beef, spreading the pieces so that every piece touches the oil. Do not stir for a minute or so to allow the underside to brown. Keep the heat very high. Stir and cook for a few minutes, with occasional stirring, until the beef changes color and a light crust forms.

Pour in the osyster sauce and liquid seasoning. Stir briskly; the sauce should thicken quite fast. Add the mushrooms, cook just until heated, stirring occasionally.

Voila in just a few minutes we had sumptuous meal:

These cute and comfy shoes was local brand here in the philippines and a good news is you can order online without going out by you're office or with you're comfort home with a reasonable price. But for me I doubtful to buy online without fitting. I'm having a hard time measure my shoe size and It might not fit so I'll better wait for there upcoming bazaar at Rockwell mall on april 8 to 10 but You can update on there Facebook account and if you decided to order by online you can check on there site here.

I'm thinking a happy project on my blog to gives excitement. It's called "thinking happy thoughts" I would like to make a Monday weekly  list at least 10 things or events that keeps me busy and smile over the weekend, or that define happiness to me and my life. If things aren't goes well I would just read my "Thinking happy thoughts".  This would make me realized how much blessed I am.

I just want to shared these photos of my LV collection and wish more to come. wink!wink!. I'm proud to say that these all comes with my hard work. My first set was damier speedy 35, it was a christmas gift to myself last two years and I confessed once you owned LV you never stop of being collecting those designer bags. True Indeed because a year ago after that christmas gift, I bought monogram neverfull as a birthday present and lastly Monogram swing pack.  And now I have a long wishlist to come.

This is my version of penne tuna pasta...

Last Saturday I was in a good mood and looking for pasta so I decided to cook then I check on my storage cabinet I have penne pasta and left over tuna and this what I got.

My mind can't out of you...

Last Sunday after heard the mass, I tropped at the mall and walk around then suddenly my heart bumped and my eyes twinkle like a shiny star over this watch (ST tropez by Charriol). I said to myself sooner you will be mine as a birthday present or early christmas gift. I wish I wish I wish. If BIG MAN up grant my wish and I'll promised to him i'll be a good girl and working hard for these little temporary happiness or blessing coming from him hahaha Lol:)
